The Words You Have Spoken!
Jesus said, “But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37
So brothers and sisters guard what comes out of your mouth. Let your words be full of grace. Let them be holy and pure, honoring to God. Speak only of kindness to build each other up, expanding the kingdom of Heaven here on earth. Let only truth come from your lips. Bury forever any words of condemnation towards your brother. Start to look at everyone the way Christ does. Look at the condition of their souls, not their outer appearances, knowing that they are only one heartbeat away from eternity in Heaven or Hell. Use your lips to spread the Gospel using what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you. Ask God for forgiveness for any unkind words you have used, then go and make reconciliation with the one or few people that you said those words to. You may not know how much it really hurt them. Cleanse yourself of all unrighteousness by confessing and asking for forgiveness and your prayers will not be hindered.
